It could be recalled that few months ago, the family of Mr and Mrs Ben Ogar popularly known as the Ogoja mentally deranged couple were rescued following weeks of intense search by a team from the Cross River state Government and Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital, Calabar.

After being rescued from the streets, the doctor in charge of their case confirmed that Ben was suffering from a mental disorder while his wife had foli a deux (a syndrome as a result of her husband’s health). The doctor added that the children are doing well and responding to treatment.

It was revealed that not only are they always sighted together, this family also communicate in fluent English, making the puzzle about how they became mad even more complex. After this young lady shared their story on social media, it moved thousands of people and in no time, this family was moved from the streets to a home where they were receiving proper medical care.
